Many have asked the question as to how a typical rubber ducky spends the winter months when it is too cold to quack outside.   For years, duckologists have thought that rubber ducks migrated to the south during the cold winter months. But we have found that most rubber ducks spend the winter inside, nice and cozy, quacking it up as if it was the summertime.  This makes them happy, as they can create just as many laughs and smiles during the winter as in the summer.

While almost no rubber ducky goes to school with his/her master,  they have developed productive ways to spend the time waiting for school to let out for the day.  One of the things that a typical ducky does is to color in coloring books or to assemble paper cutout puzzles.

We would like to thank our most artistic ducky, Arnold, for sharing with us some of his favorite puzzles and coloring pages.

All the pages and puzzles are in Adobe PDF files so that when you click on them, the PDF reader should come up and allow you to print them out on your printer just as Arnold Ducky would have them printed out on his printer.  They will appear on your screen "sideways", but that is so that you don't have to do anything fancy with the paper in your printer.  You should be able to just hit PRINT and they will be printed.

For the coloring pages all you do is get a set of crayons or colored pens and get to work.  For the paper puzzles, you will want to print both pages and then very carefully (being careful not to cut anything but the paper!) cut out the pieces from the two pages.  Once the pieces are all cut out it is time to get to work putting them in the correct positions to complete the puzzle.  A large piece of construction paper and some paper glue can make this job easier as you can glue the pieces to the construction paper as you go and they will stay put when the puzzle is completed.

Zachary with Sunglasses

Zachary is a really lucky boy, he has plenty of rubber ducks to help him enjoy life. Some of us think that the ducks are secretly teaching him how to laugh really really loud.  Here he is with a really cool pair of ducky sunglasses.

Ducky In The Garden

A garden cannot be finer than one with a proud duck looking over the flowers.  The tulips will blossom bright and long when they are watched over by the careful eye of a rubber duck.

Thankfully, Arnold Ducky informs us that in time he will have more puzzles and coloring pages for us.  He just needs to get all the other duckies in a row first.
